2023 Yearbook

Hello!

We’ve highlighted stories of collaboration, connection and impact across the nation. We feature the achievements of the Foundation, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, our Community Bank network and our Corporate Partners.

We're proud to share our stories and reflections on our work to help build capable and resilient communities.

Our team

The Community Enterprise Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.

Our staff passionately support our partners by understanding the needs of communities and our focus is to provide communities with the foundation to thrive.

We’re here for our Community Bank network, our corporate partners, and the Australian community and together we do great things. Because using our business to help communities thrive, is at the heart at what we do.

We help Australian communities tackle challenges through grants, scholarships, and community focused appeals. And we are dedicated to creating positive impact by collaborating and investing with our community partners.

As a regionally based team we have lived-experience of the effects of natural disasters, and we continue to assist communities through disaster recovery and resilience.

What have we done this year?

We’re here for the disasters and more.

You can count on us during times of disaster, but we do so much more than that:

  • Scholarships - $1 million to help 289 students further their education
  • Rural Women Online project
  • Sensory gardens
  • Riding for disabled
  • Arts and cultural diversity - $1.9 million
  • Communities - $3.6 million
  • Education - $3.8 million

The list goes on ...

A taste of what you'll find in our Yearbook

Partnering is key

We help partners like Community Bank Collie create real and meaningful impact from their community investments.

Their focus on community connections, along with a partnership with industry and local government, has funded the construction of new premises for the volunteer-led Collie Community Broadcasting Association.

Not forgotten

Community Enterprise Foundation is with you for the long haul!

Black Summer fires occurred three years ago -  2019/20 in fact.

Their devastating effects affected many lives.

And we haven't forgotten.

In financial year 2023 we distributed $1.7million in funds to continue our ongoing commitment to support those affected for the long term.

Supporting Community Bank companies across the lands

We get behind our Community Bank network because we understand that they know their communities best. From replanting forests in the mountains, to surf lifesaving on the coast, companies like Community Bank Pambula and Bega provide support where it’s needed the most.

  • Since devastating bushfire, they’ve helped the Bega Local Aboriginal Council to rehabilitate culturally significant forestry areas.
  • Their long time support of Pambula Surf Life Saving Club has helped to fund boards, boats, trailers and vehicles.

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of this nation and the Traditional Custodians of the land where we live, learn and work. We pay our respects to Elders past and present as it is their knowledge and experience that holds the key to the success of future generations.
